Peshawar: The Meteorological Department has said that the new series of rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is likely to start from tomorrow, the rains may continue intermittently till Wednesday.
PDMA issued a letter to the district administration on this forecast of the meteorological department. DG PDMA has directed the concerned agencies to take precautionary measures in view of heavy rains accompanied by thunder.
The PDMA has said in its instructions that the availability of small and heavy machinery should be ensured where there is a risk of landslides, the rains are likely to increase the flow of water in certain urban areas and urban flooding.
According to PDMA, tourists should take precautionary measures while traveling, PDMA’s emergency operation center is fully operational.
