Islamabad :
Failure to take precautionary measures on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha across the country could lead to re-emergence of the corona virus, as the rate of infections and positive cases in the country has began to rise just two weeks after restrictions to curb the spread of the corona virus were lifted.
According to the report, health experts fear that the virus may re-emerge on the eve of Eid al-Adha. Meanwhile, the World Health Organization (WHO) has issued new guidelines to countries for international travel, including It has been suggested that proof of code vaccination should not be a prerequisite for entry and exit in any country.
It may be recalled that on June 9, the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) had taken several decisions, including easing of sanctions from June 15. The walk-in vaccination facility for people over the age of 18 was scheduled for June 11 and the working hours of vaccination centers were extended from 8 am to 10 pm.
From June 15, the two-day-a-week business shutdown was lifted to one day, while indoor gyms were also allowed to be opened for vaccinated people. Similarly, the two-day ban on inter-provincial transport was lifted and public transport was allowed to carry 70 per cent passengers instead of 50 per cent.
On June 27, as the situation in the world and in the country improved further, it was decided to gradually normalize the arrival of international flights, quarantine at home for those with rapid antigen tests and abolish airports. However, those who tested positive for corona were allowed to quarantine their homes instead of government hospitals.
