Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has established a 15-member committee to reduce unnecessary government expenditure, the notification of which has also been issued.
According to the notification, Nasir Mehmood Khosa will be the head of the committee. Other members of the committee include Minister of State for Finance, Special Assistants and Advisors, Cabinet, Finance, Power and Housing Secretaries, Chairman CDA and Provincial Chief Secretaries along with economists Qaiser Bengali, Farrukh Saleem, Zubair Khan and Naveed Iftikhar.
The head of the committee will also have the authority to nominate more members from the public or private sector. The committee will give suggestions for reducing public expenditure and financial discipline. In this context, suggestions will also be taken from ministries and divisions. The committee will also reduce the size of the government. will make suggestions.
