In the memory of the martyrs of Karbala and in memory of their eternal sacrifice, processions are being taken out in the city on the ninth of Muharram. Strict security arrangements have been made by the government on this occasion. Double riding ban and mobile service closed in many cities including Karachi.
According to details, a series of gatherings and processions are underway across the country to pay homage to the martyrs of Karbala. The mourners are expressing their devotion by lamenting, mourning and chaining.
The main procession in Karachi was recovered from Nishtar Park, which will pass through traditional routes and end at Hussainiyan Iranian Kharadar.
Strict security arrangements have been made by Karachi Police. DIG Maqsood Ahmed said that more than 700 personnel of the Security Division are on duty while 500 SSU commandos including women commandos are also present.
Officers are on duty during mourning processions and gatherings, 190 SS commandos are in charge of the security of the central procession and snipers have been deployed on high-rise buildings while monitoring is being carried out by modern command and control bus.
The 9th Muharram procession in Islamabad was recovered from Imambargah Twentieth G-Six Two. The procession will pass through the designated routes. Has been installed and closed.
The main procession of 9th Muharram has been recovered from Pando Street. The mourners are mourning and lamenting. The procession will proceed from Alamgir Road to Imambargah Tent Sadat, where Maghrib prayers will be offered, after which the procession will pass through Jain Temple and return to Pando Street.
A 9th Muharram procession has also been taken out in Shadman area of Lahore. Strict security arrangements have been made during the processions, thousands of police personnel are performing security duties.
