According to details, provincial health minister Dr Yasmeen Rashid said that human health was the most important issue and indoor wedding ceremonies were banned. Work is allowed in offices under 50% attendance, and cultural and religious ceremonies are also prohibited.
He said that 3.5 million people have been vaccinated in Punjab and we have a large number of vaccines available. 500,000 people are being vaccinated daily. Due to Muharram alone, about two and a half lakh vaccines have been given.
Yasmeen Rashid said that vaccination centers will remain open even on 9th Muharram. 47% of the people over the age of 40 in Punjab have been vaccinated and 63% of the people over the age of 60 have been vaccinated in Punjab. There are about 60 million people over the age of 18 in Punjab.
He said that at present 35% of the population of Punjab has been vaccinated and smart lockdown is being implemented in the most affected areas. 280,000 people were vaccinated at home.
