Trump and the future of the American politics.
The committee investigating the attack by supporters of the Republican Party on the Congress building, known as the January 6 Committee, published its final report on Thursday in the form of a detailed 845-page report. The members of this committee, who are members of the US House of Representatives, attacked former US President Donald Trump in this report and emphasized that he and his close associates are guilty and “guilty” during the January 6 attack on the Congress.
In another part of this report, which was published and distributed in the form of a pamphlet, it is emphasized that Trump and his companions committed 200 violations from the moment the election results were announced to the moment they attacked the Congress building. Among these violations; Lies, incitement to riot and other things, all of which were actions in the context of denying the election result and overshadowing Joe Biden’s victory. Leaving aside the detailed content of this report (which even made suggestions in 11 paragraphs to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future), this institution, which of course has a political purpose and does not have a legal character, asked the supreme judicial institutions in this country to prevent Trump’s participation in the 2024 presidential election. This committee also warned Trump himself that he does not have the conditions to hold the office of president.
The committee’s January 6 announcement has ended Donald Trump’s nightmare week. In the report of the Joint Committee on Taxation, which was published on Tuesday night last week, it has been accused of widespread violations in paying taxes. In this committee, the amount of income and taxes paid by Donald Trump during his presidency was examined in detail. The report shows that Trump paid a total of $1,500 in income taxes for 2016 and 2017 on his federal tax returns, and has largely avoided paying his exact tax amounts while in office. According to the Joint Committee on Taxation staff report, Trump and his wife, Melania, did not pay any income taxes on their 2020 income tax returns.
Trump’s election campaign and doubts raised about it
Now, with the publication of these reports, the condition of the newly activated campaign of the former president has been shaken. The campaign was announced shortly before the midterm elections in a speech in Florida. But it is worth noting that the former president has not held any important election event or gathering since that date, and no traces of him can be seen in the big media and other cyberspace environments.
Instead, Trump’s presence in the virtual space, for example, his own, that is, “social truth”, has increased. The texts that are mainly published by Trump take on a strong political color and repeat the same claims of the former president in 2021, that is, the occurrence of widespread fraud, and on the other hand, he also implicitly refers to his army of extremist supporters to prove that he is in the war against the establishment. American politics is not alone.
