The tension between Iran and Saudi Arabia is a continuation of tension between Tehran and Washington. The United States has intensified the tension in other areas. In this way, Iran focused on resistance, and Washington on Saudi Arabia, and thus the Iran-US conflict was reflected in other areas in Yemen, Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq. The conflict in Yemen hurt Saudi Arabia and turned Iraq into a settlement between Iran and the United States.
If we say that the Iran-US conflict has affected the Palestinian issue, we must specify this effect:
This conflict has led to an increase in Israel’s dependence on Washington to prevent Iran from gaining power, especially in the nuclear and military fields, and the threat of Israel from Iran has caused discontent in Washington. It responded positively to Israel, which in turn escalated the conflict between the two countries.
This conflict led to minor conflicts within the Arab world, especially between Iran and Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the UAE, and led to the formation of hotbeds of tension that pushed these countries closer to Israel and replaced Iran with Israel.
The establishment of Hezbollah in Lebanon alerted Israel to a new enmity after Iran replaced the Arabs in enmity with Israel.
Egypt supported the Palestinian resistance during the time of the late leader Gamal Abdel Nasser, but after him, Anwar Sadat and Mohammed Hosseini Mubarak withdrew their support for the resistance. Also, the Arab countries’ approval of the resistance in favor of Israel decreased and Iran supported it in Gaza and Lebanon, and this is one of the effects of the Iran-US conflict.
In response to the question of whether Iran’s entry into the arena led to the abandonment of the Palestinian issue by the Arabs or whether this issue is one of the effects of the Arabs’ dependence on Washington, it should be said that the Arabs first abandoned this issue. Thus, Iran welcomed the revolutions against the Arab governments allied with Israel and Washington and formed a resistance camp against Israel and Washington.
The issue of supporting Palestine was separated from the issue of supporting Iran. This allowed some Arabs to show solidarity with Palestine without leaning towards Iran.
The escalation of the Iran-US conflict limits the opportunities to support Palestine, and the Arab states and Iran must reconcile in favor of the Palestinian cause and against Israel.
Israel’s plan to swallow all of Palestine and Jerusalem is a fixed and old plan before the Iran-US conflict began, but Iran was a tool in the Shah’s time to implement this plan. With the revolution in Iran, Israel lost a strong ally and was replaced by a government that was hostile to Israel and supported the resistance.
Thus we saw that Israeli influence with US support in the Arab world was even before the emergence of Iran’s revolutionary policies.
We also realized that the indirect Saudi-Iranian conflict in Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq is a branch of the main conflict, the US-Iran conflict.
From what has been said, the following results can be summarized:
1- The Iran-US conflict began with the Islamic Revolution of Iran. The revolution turned the American alliance with the Shah into a fierce enmity between revolutionary Iran and Washington. There are various reasons for this, including Washington’s blind support for the Zionist plan against Iran and Turkey.
2. Iran entered the arena of conflict with Israel after the Arabs withdrew from the arena and their conspiracy with Israel to attack Beirut in 1982 and expel the Palestinian resistance from the region began, and Iran was the party that led to Israel’s withdrawal from Lebanon.
3- The Iran-US conflict intensified this conflict in other areas.
4. The Iran-US conflict will not end, but reducing the intensity of this conflict will bring calm in other areas and pave the way for resolving all related issues.
5. This conflict will continue because Iran insists on being an independent actor, but Washington is trying to make Iran surrender.
6- The Palestinian issue benefited from the conflict between the two countries, especially in the field of confrontation between the resistance and Israel.
7- If the Arabs reunite as supporters of the Palestinian cause, Iran’s role will be limited and Washington may overcome it because the Arab withdrawal from the Palestinian cause and criticism of the resistance and inclination towards Israel is in Iran’s interest, unless That the Arabs unite with Iran and Turkey and change the map of the region.
