Battle Of Ilib Is Going To Be Crucial
With the widespread military deployment and re-establishment of the battlefield in Idlib, whether in areas controlled by the Syrian government or in areas occupied by armed groups and the Turkish army, Idlib has once again become a hotbed of news and headlines.
As armed groups have long sought to increase attacks on Syrian army positions near contact lines, as well as to monitor military bases on various fronts, Syrian army units have dealt with a number of targets. So here we are talking about the field developments that the suburban front of Idlib may witness at any moment.
The Syrian army, which has always stressed its readiness to face all possible scenarios on the front, inflicts painful blows on terrorist groups, including a meeting of prominent Jabhat al-Nusra military commanders, including “Abu Khalid al-Shami” – a figure close to ” Abu Muhammad al-Julani, the terrorist group’s senior leader, has been targeted by artillery fire.
In parallel with the Syrian army’s attacks on terrorists, the Russian-Syrian Joint Air Force killed 15 armed terrorists, including al-Qaeda leader Amir al-Qaeda and his associates on the outskirts of Idlib, and wounded more than 20 terrorists. The group also destroyed four of the group’s field headquarters.
However, a statement from Russia’s Defense Ministry in Syria – affiliated with the Russian Ministry of Defense – stating that armed groups had violated the ceasefire in Idlib 45 times in 24 hours, reinforces the possibility of a major battle in Idlib approaching. It is certain that as long as this agreement lasts, Idlib, as the main terrorist center in Syria, where a large number of multinational terrorists are present, will definitely be cleared.
Hence, the Syrian Army Command closely monitors the movements of terrorist groups and the continuation of ceasefire violations and has increased the readiness of its forces on the axes of conflict with armed groups. Therefore, the military gathering of the Syrian army on the outskirts of Idlib and the escalation of daily clashes with armed groups supported by the Turkish army has increased the possibility of a major military action by the Syrian army to liberate Idlib.
