The rise of resistance groups in Gaza and the West Bank.
On Tuesday, resistance groups in the West Bank, in response to the martyrdom of two Palestinian youths, carried out an operation against the Zionist military base near the city of Jenin. According to the Jerusalem Post newspaper, a rocket attack was carried out on the Zionist settlement of Shakid by the Palestinian Al-Ayash Brigade. This is one of the latest examples of the operation of one of the resistance groups in the West Bank against the occupation regime of Jerusalem, in the past year a growing number of these anti-Zionist efforts have taken place. Early last month, Palestinian fighters fired two rockets from the city of Jenin toward an Israeli military base in the Ramon area, which was unprecedented in the last 18 years. The perpetrators of this operation announced to the Zionists that what you will see in the future will be much bigger and more dangerous.
Simultaneously with the increase in the struggle of armed groups, martyrdom operations have intensified in the West Bank and even in the occupied territories. Last Saturday, August 6, a Zionist soldier was killed and at least two others were wounded in a martyrdom operation in Tel Aviv. The Zionist regime’s channel 12 reported in early June last month that since the beginning of 2023, Palestinian militants have carried out 25 operations against Zionist settlers and killed 20 people.
On July 23, Khalil al-Hiya, a senior member of the Hamas movement, announced: Although there are efforts to nip the resistance in the bud in several ways, the resistance is expanding day by day in the West Bank. The Palestinian nation is trying to obtain weapons because there is no other way to confront the Zionist regime except resistance, and resistance is the only option for this regime’s actions.
