The End Of “The Known” Middle East.
Since 2011, the region of West Asia has witnessed developments that have challenged the ruling order. The American order in the region is gradually being replaced by the regional order. The attempt to weaken the Axis of resistance by launching a war against Iraq and Syria and the attempt to weaken Iran and Hezbollah along with the marginalization of the Palestinian issue has now become more evident than ever, and America has repeatedly declared that its policies in the Middle East have failed. Saudi Arabia’s efforts to de-escalate tensions with Iran and other countries supporting the resistance, as well as Riyadh’s efforts to end the 8-year war in Yemen, show that we are facing a new order in the Middle East.
What is happening now in the Arab region and the Middle East is very important, because this region is entering a new phase. For the first time – in many years – we are seeing agreements that seemed impossible in the past. Among the new and important developments in the region, we can mention the rapprochement between Iran and Saudi Arabia, the warming of Arab-Syrian relations, the closeness of positions between Syria and Turkey, Turkey and Egypt, the strategic dialogue between Iran and the UAE, etc.
We are also witnessing the multi-dimensional coordination between the resistance actors in the region and the unprecedented wave of protests in the “Zionist regime” whose fake existence has exposed it to destruction. Protests that indicate deep gaps in the social and political structures of the Zionist regime have caused this regime to worry about the future, and therefore today the image of the “Zionist regime” has become more real and clear.
American influence in the region
What is happening in the region is related to the important developments of the world system, especially the increasing presence of Russia and China in regional politics in exchange for the reduction of the presence and influence of America. This is not a hypothetical issue, but a very real one. If a few years ago, the US was able to “ruin” the strategic cooperation agreement between Iraq and China, now it is no longer able to disrupt the rapprochement between Iran and Saudi Arabia, which was carried out with the support of China, or Russia’s efforts to bring the Arabs and Syria closer together.

The developments in the region, especially between Saudi Arabia and Iran and to some extent between Syria and Turkey, go beyond the known alliances of the past several decades. The alliances through which America and the Zionists were responsible for creating division among Islamic countries and in the form of an “Arab NATO” or “Middle East NATO” brought together Arab countries and “Israel” against Iran.
Is the Middle East the same as we knew it?
Does this mean that the Middle East, which was under the influence of foreign countries and the hegemony of America and the West in the past, is over? Today, in the Middle East, new intellectual frameworks that rely on new approaches have been formed, but it is natural that the region has not been completely freed from what it was.
The Middle East region is looking for a massive change and liberation from past policies, but there are those who see the proximity of countries, organizations, institutions, networks, and actors in this region as a source of threat and will do everything possible to prevent the “birth of a new Middle East”. The protest of America, “Israel” and the West regarding the approach of Arab countries to Syria and the approach of Saudi Arabia and Iran are among these cases.
