Palestine is in a state of anticipation and tension after the Zionist regime insisted on taking an intensifying step that could upset the entire security situation and open a new battlefield whose results no one knows about.
“Next Sunday (May 29) is the date for Israel to launch a so-called ‘flag march’ from Bab al-Amoud and the alleys of the Old City of Jerusalem to the Al-Baraq Wall in an attempt to regain” sovereignty, “the Rai Al-Youm newspaper wrote in a note. “Ignoring the Palestinians’ warnings about the dangers of this’ provocative ‘action and the catastrophic consequences it expects.”
Accordingly, the occupying government insists on holding a march that will help the tense situation on the ground and the possibility of the resistance going to a new round of battles to maintain its equation in the occupied city of Jerusalem based on the principle of non-sanctity.
Israeli War Minister Bani Gantz stressed that the rally would be held as usual and, according to Israeli radio, called on all parties, including Israeli parties, to show responsibility for this sensitive issue. Therefore, despite the continuing tensions in the Bab al-Amoud area and the old town of Quds and the threats of Palestinian groups, the flag march will be held according to its routine.
Residents seek revenge for last year’s defeat at the flag march
The flag march seems to have received a lot of attention and attention this year, as extremists plan to celebrate Jerusalem’s Unification Day with a massive raid on the Al-Aqsa Mosque and a march with large Israeli flags to defeat last year. To compensate for the fact that they all dispersed after firing resistance missiles.
After the announcement of the existence of the fake Zionist regime in Yom al-Nakba (May 14, 1948), the western part of Jerusalem was occupied by this regime and the eastern part was occupied by Jordan. Eventually, following the Six-Day War between the Arabs and the Zionist regime and its victory in June 1967, the eastern part was annexed to the western part of Jerusalem, which Tel Aviv celebrates as “Jerusalem Day”.
