Lebanese daily Al-Akhbar and Israeli media report on the visit of a regime’s military delegation to the Saudi capital Riyadh in order to strengthen the military coalition and install the “Iron Dome” anti-missile system under the pretext of confronting Yemeni drone as a prelude to normalizing relations.
Following the scandal caused by the attacks by the Yemeni army and popular committees on Saudi Arabia due to the invasion, launching a war, and a military attack against the Yemeni people by the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, which he thought could be ignored in the blink of an eye. Finally, Ibn Salman recently appealed to the Israeli regime and entered into love with this regime out of love for it, in order to get him out of the vortex of Yemen, for example. After Saudi Arabia’s friendship with Tel Aviv – through a message of media normalization with the Israeli regime and repeated travels of its intelligence apparatus to occupied Palestine – it still calls on the Israeli regime to deploy Iron Dome anti-missile systems in Let Tel Aviv consider it the pride of its military industry to counter Palestinian and Hezbollah resistance missiles.
The Israeli military oversight unit had previously opposed the announcement of the name of the Arab Gulf state to which the systems were transferred – through an American ally – but evidence suggests that it is Saudi Arabia. China has offered to receive these systems in exchange for a series of conditions – which are exposed each time Riyadh takes direct or indirect support for the Israeli regime.
In mid-2018, a secret meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman took place in the Jordanian capital Amman, mediated by former US President Donald Trump. The meeting was accompanied by bin Salman’s humiliating plea to Netanyahu to provide his country with the Iron Dome system, through which to deal with Yemeni missiles and drones that have so far managed to target the depths of Saudi territory. Some sources say bin Salman at that meeting expressed his willingness to pay any amount that the Israeli regime wants and obtained Netanyahu’s agreement in principle in the face of a series of difficult conditions. At the forefront of these conditions, Netanyahu called on Riyadh to abandon the Palestinian question and take practical steps to show its normalization with the Israeli regime, and to deal with the currents of political Islam in the Islamic world, and in particular Saudi Arabia, with an iron fist. Bin Salman agreed to Netanyahu’s terms in the hope of achieving his goal as soon as possible to get out of the challenge posed by the Yemeni missiles.
The Iron Dome, to which Saudi Arabia has tied its destiny, has not proved its effectiveness against the missiles of the Palestinian resistance and Hezbollah. These missiles have managed to pass through the Iron Dome system. However, ignoring the value and importance of the land of revelation, Riyadh prepares to pay whatever price the Israeli regime wants in return for receiving these systems, and the question remains whether the Saudi people will respond to the humiliating actions and policies. Will Bin Salman be silent?
