Double Standards Of The West When It Comes to French Protests.
During the unrest of the late summer and early autumn of 1401, the heads of European governments, while supporting the continuation of Iran’s internal unrest, demanded the unity of the foreign and domestic opposition for the revolution and the overthrow of the Islamic Republic. At that time, Western parliaments and media tried to increase the level of tensions to the stage of civil war by accepting self-proclaimed opposition figures. Now, more than a week after the internal protests in France, the heads of European governments, expressing concern about the erosion of street tensions, demanded an end to the violence and the return of peace to France.
According to Reuters, German Chancellor Olaf Schultz responded to the ongoing protests in France and said that he is monitoring the situation in this country with concern. He further expressed his concern about these protests extending to Belgium and Switzerland and said that he did not expect France to be involved in such a crisis. Schultz has turned a blind eye to racial discrimination in France, while just a few months ago German Foreign Minister Analena Berbock called for sanctions and a ban on the entry of Iranian officials into the European Union under the pretext of unrest inside Iran. In another interventionist action, just a few weeks apart, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier met with a self-proclaimed member of the Iranian opposition and supported the rioters’ actions. Adopting such contradictory policy positions indicates the racist view of Germans towards the category of “human rights”. In Berlin’s view, the violation of human and minority rights only occurs in non-European countries, not in the “garden of Europe” which hosts civilized and white nations!
