Srinagar:
In Occupied Kashmir, the Indian Army has laid siege to the house of Muhammad Ashraf Sahrai, a senior leader of the All Party Hurriyat Conference and chairman of the Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Movement, in Barzilla area of Srinagar.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the occupying administration has deployed a large number of Indian military and police personnel around the house of the martyred leader.
Forces personnel have blocked all roads leading to the house of Mohammad Ashraf Sahrai Shaheed and they are not allowing people to enter his house to express solidarity with the family of the martyr.
It may be recalled that since the death of Mohammad Ashraf Sahrai in custody in Jammu on May 5, the Narendra Modi government has tightened restrictions in the occupied territories to prevent people from holding funeral prayers and special prayers for the martyred leader in absentia.
Meanwhile, a spokesman for the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party, headed by illegally detained Shabir Ahmad Shah, in a statement issued from Srinagar condemned the deployment of large numbers of Indian forces personnel around the house of Mohammad Ashraf Sahrai. He called it cruel and immoral.
The spokesman called the son of Shaheed Ashraf Sahrai and expressed solidarity with him. The spokesman also expressed condolences to senior party leader Fayyaz Ahmed Sodagar and his uncle Ghulam Nabi Sodagar who passed away in Islamabad today. ۔
