Srinagar: Several Indian soldiers have been killed and injured in firing by armed men in occupied Kashmir.
According to the report of Kashmir Media Service, unidentified persons opened fire in Srinagar district of Occupied Kashmir and killed three occupying Indian soldiers . Several occupying Indian soldiers were also injured during the attack.
According to the Kashmir Media Service, after the attack, the occupying Indian troops and police personnel cordoned off the area and launched a search operation and started searching for the attackers.
It should be noted that this incident has taken place at a time when the leadership of both India and Pakistan have called for cooperation to reduce the tension between the
two countries.
Last month, the military commanders of the two countries stationed on the Line of Control in Kashmir agreed to respect the ceasefire.
The latest attack on Indian troops took place while they were on a routine patrol on the outskirts of the central city of Srinagar.
According to reports, gunmen surrounded two army armored vehicles and opened fire from both sides.
According to paramilitary spokesman Om Prakash Tewari, additional troops, including military and police personnel, were dispatched to the area after the attack was reported.
Authorities have cordoned off the area and are searching for the attackers. The road that was attacked is said to be a busy highway and is under regular surveillance. So far no militant group has accepted the responsibility of carrying out the attack.
