With the onset of Ramadan, the Indian government has launched a series of atrocities against Kashmiris and Kashmiri soldiers are being arrested in the coming days. In this regard, Indian police today arrested a woman from Srinagar and Kulgam in occupied Kashmir. Several Kashmiri soldiers were arrested.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian police arrested at least six youths from the downtown area of Srinagar, including the brother of well-known Mujahid commander Mushtaq Ahmed Zargar, during raids on their homes.
Indian police arrested a woman from Farsal area of Kulgam district. The arrested woman had resisted a few days ago during a siege and search operation to prevent Indian troops from entering the house. A video also went viral on social media in which the woman was raising her voice against the atrocities of Indian soldiers.
On the other hand, a complete strike was called on Friday against the rise of Indian state terrorism in occupied Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Kashmiri people have been on strike for the past two weeks to protest against the massacre of Kashmiri youth and destruction of property by Indian troops in Shopian, Islamabad and Pulwama districts.
The call for strike was made by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference while other Hurriyat organizations supported it, a spokesman for the Hurriyat Conference said in a statement issued from Srinagar urging the United Nations to address the worst human rights situation in occupied Jammu and Kashmir and to take stern notice.
