After two consecutive drone strikes on the Jammu airbase in occupied Kashmir, there has been a great deal of panic in India and it is being described as a decrease in the security of the Indian Army.
According to details, two consecutive bomb blasts have taken place at a key Indian Air Force base on the outskirts of Jammu, the winter capital of Occupied Kashmir.
According to Indian officials, two Indian Air Force personnel sustained minor injuries in the incident. However, the Indian government has taken serious note of the blasts at this sensitive and high-security location and is investigating the incident with the National Investigation Agency (NIA). A special team from the NIA has arrived at the scene.
Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh spoke to Indian Air Force Deputy Air Marshal Harjeet Singh Arora on the phone shortly after receiving news of the blasts.
According to Indian Air Force sources, Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhaduria is arriving in Jammu soon to take stock of the situation. He is on a three-day official visit to Bangladesh since Saturday.
Sources also said that an Indian Air Force team, assisted by a bomb disposal squad and forensic experts, had already visited the spot and launched an investigation.
Following the incident, a security alert has been issued for all military and other key installations across Indian Kashmir, especially in Jammu and Kashmir Valley, including civilian and technical airports.
According to Indian officials, in addition to issuing high security alerts for the Air Force and other key installations in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, all such defenses in the Pathankot area of the neighboring state of Punjab, especially the Air Force station under the Western Command of the Indian Air Force. The injured were identified as Irving Singh and SK Singh. However, the Indian Air Force said in a tweet from its official Twitter account that the incident took place in the technical area of Jammu Air Force Station on Sunday. Two low-intensity explosions occurred in the morning.
According to the tweet, one blast caused minor damage to the roof of one building while the other took place in an open field.
Another tweet from the Indian Air Force said no equipment was damaged and that civilian agencies were involved in the investigation.
