Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Firdous Ashiq Awan arrived at the Punjab Assembly to attend the swearing-in ceremony of newly elected member of the Punjab Assembly Ahsan Saleem Baryar, but was stopped by security staff.
According to details, Firdous Ashiq Awan had come to the assembly from Sialkot to attend the swearing in ceremony of newly elected member Punjab Assembly Ahsan Saleem Baryar but the security staff stopped him from entering the assembly house.
On this, the PTI leader said that the work for which she had come has been done. I am late, as a special assistant, I was allowed to go to the assembly. The Speaker is the prerogative of the Punjab Assembly.
It may be mentioned that Firdous Ashiq Awan, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab for Information has resigned from his post. Firdous Ashiq Awan has sent his resignation to Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar. The final decision on the ministries will be taken by the Prime Minister during his visit to Lahore next week, Firdous Ashiq Awan said.
On the other hand, it was decided to appoint Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan as Special Assistant to the Population Welfare Department. Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chauhan will be made the Information Minister in Punjab. Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chauhan has been the Information Minister before.
