Ahmed al-Mudallal, a senior member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, reacted to the recent Israeli invasion of Lebanon. In this regard, he said: “The aggression of the Zionist regime against the Lebanese people is an aggression against the Palestinian people.”
According to the report, Al-Mudall added: “The Palestinian people condemn the aggression against Lebanon, which has been hosting the Palestinians for the past 73 years.”
This high-ranking member of the Islamic Jihad movement called on the Islamic Ummah to stand up to the Zionist enemy and work to support the resistance in Palestine and Lebanon and to prevent the crimes of the occupiers.
It is worth mentioning that Zionist sources reported on Thursday morning that Zionist fighters had launched an air strike on southern Lebanon.
The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that Zionist fighters bombed targets in Marjaoun, in southern Lebanon, in response to rocket fire on the Zionist settlement of Kiryat Shimoneh in northern Palestine.
Preliminary reports indicate that the attack was carried out by F-16 fighter jets. The attack came as news sources reported on Wednesday night that the Israeli regime had launched an artillery attack on the Lebanese border areas.
News sources also reported that Israeli tanks were on standby on the Lebanese border following the firing of three rockets from Lebanon into occupied northern Palestine. It is worth mentioning that the Zionist regime’s army targeted the southern Lebanese town of “Kryat Shimoneh” on Wednesday under the pretext of firing rockets.
