Islamabad :
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister and Head of Pakistan Ulema Council Allama Hafiz Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi while assuring to maintain law and order during Muharram said that Ulema will continue to play their role for communal harmony.
He said this while meeting Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry in Islamabad. The two leaders discussed measures to maintain law and order in Muharram on the occasion. The Federal Information Minister said that the government was taking all possible steps for maintaining law and order.
Fawad Chaudhry said that the role of Pakistan Ulema Council and Muttahida Ulema Board is commendable, Islam is a religion of security, peace, tolerance, tolerance, non-violence, sectarian hatred, armed sectarian conflict cannot be allowed.
The Federal Minister for Information said that imposition of one’s ideology on others by force cannot be allowed under any circumstances. Some elements are playing into the hands of anti-national forces. These elements will never succeed in their ambitions.
Talking about the media, the role of media is important for the promotion of religious harmony in the country, said the Information Minister. During Muharram, law and order will be maintained in all cases.
