Afghan Interior Ministry spokesman Mirwais Stanekzai tweeted that three rockets had hit the presidential palace near the citadel, confirming a rocket attack.
He added that one of the rockets fired at the Afghan presidential palace did not explode.
Stanekzai said a rocket hit behind the Kabul Eidgah Mosque, a second rocket behind the Golbahar shopping center and a third rocket in the Chaman Hozuri area.
A spokesman for the Afghan Interior Ministry said that according to initial reports, the incident did not result in any casualties.
The rockets were reportedly fired from a car in the 18th Alley area of Parwan III, located in the 4th district of Kabul.
Three years ago, at the same time as Eid al-Adha, the area was targeted by rockets.
Al Jazeera, meanwhile, quoted a security source as saying that six mortars had been fired near the presidential palace in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan.
