Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that no one is doing more than Pakistan for peace in Afghanistan. It is very disappointing to hold Pakistan responsible for the situation in Afghanistan. Peace and prosperity in Afghanistan is our priority. Peace and security in the region is very important for us.
According to details, a conference between Central and South Asian countries was held at the Congress Center in Tashkent. Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in the country to attend the conference and was received by the President of Uzbekistan.
Addressing the Central and South Asian Liaison Conference, PM Imran Khan termed C-Pac as the flag project of BRI and said that this project would not only enhance trade ties in the region but also further enhance regional cooperation. They are developing Gwadar as an energy, trade and logistics hub for better relations in the region.
Imran Khan said that peace and security of the region is the most important, our priority is peace in Afghanistan, Pakistan is most affected by the bad situation in Afghanistan, Pakistan has made more than 70,000 sacrifices against terrorism.
Referring to Afghan peace, he said that no one has played a greater role than Pakistan in bringing the Taliban to the negotiating table. Pakistan did its best to bring the Taliban to the negotiating table. I am disappointed that Pakistan is being blamed.
The Prime Minister said that when the US had the most troops, it should have offered talks. Now why would the Taliban obey the US when the troops are being withdrawn, there is no solution to the Afghan problem at gunpoint.
Imran Khan termed the Kashmir issue as a major challenge in the way of regional coordination and said that if Pakistan and India resolve the Kashmir issue then the whole region will change, there will be coordination between Central Asia, unfortunately due to unresolved disputes we Can’t use large capacity.
