Islamabad :
According to details, in a statement issued by the Minister of Energy Hamad Azhar on the social networking website Twitter, he said that the power outage in the country, ie load shedding, has been completely eliminated. According to him, the supply of gas and pressure is being restored. Besides, the supply of RLNG has also been restored 100 percent.
Earlier, the federal government had given a deadline of Monday to reduce load shedding. Federal Minister for Energy Hamad Azhar said that if the supply of RLNG improves, power generation will increase by Monday, Tarbela Dam said. Currently generating only 25% of its capacity, Tarbela Dam will start generating more electricity next week. Due to low water flow in Tarbela Dam, some power plants are not operating at full capacity. Due to this there is a risk of load shedding on some feeders.
It is to be noted that the demand for electricity has also increased due to the increase in the intensity of heat. However, due to the reduction in production, electricity is available to the distribution companies below the stipulated quota. Due to which unannounced load shedding was started in different areas in the name of load management. According to sources, the demand of LESCO is expected to reach 4700 MW in peak time, 4 to 6 hours in different urban areas and 8 hours load shedding in rural areas, which is causing severe hardships to the people. Due to announced load shedding, non-operation of tube wells is also creating water shortage.
