Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has made a big claim that for the first time in the history of the country, a Chief Minister has visited more than 10 jails and solved the problems and this is the first time since the establishment of Pakistan.
According to sources, the Punjab Chief Minister called on Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chauhan, Provincial Minister for Jails and Prisons, in which issues of mutual interest, political situation and performance of the department were discussed. The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction over this and called for continued performance.
The Punjab Chief Minister said that the prison system is being reformed to make it easier for the inmates. The inmates also have basic human rights. For the first time since the establishment of Pakistan, a Chief Minister has visited more than 10 jails. Resolved, no ruler has done this before.
He said that the children of women prisoners would be taken care of in every possible way, multi-storey barracks are being set up in 7 jails of Punjab, prisoner management information system has been launched in 21 jails of the province. Every possible step is being taken to facilitate the inmates in the jails. Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar also directed the provincial minister to further improve the system of monitoring of jails.
