Israel invites Saudi Arabia and two Arab states to form a military coalition
A former Zionist security official stressed the importance of establishing an air defense alliance with the Arab states in the region, saying that the United States was doing a dangerous job by withdrawing its forces from the Middle East, but that Israel had the opportunity to establish an air defense alliance with Saudi Arabia and the UAE and Bahrain.
Former Israeli Deputy War Minister Ephraim Saneh and head of the Center for Strategic Studies at Netanyahu University wrote in an article in the Zionist newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth that Israeli information indicates that the United States is withdrawing its defense systems, including eight Patriot batteries. And a large number of its forces are from Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, and even Jordan.
The Zionist official added that the US action would destroy the protective layer of Arab states against missiles and drones; As on September 14, 2019, Saudi Arabia’s vital facilities were attacked by the Yemenis.
The former Zionist security official noted that the current US move to withdraw its forces from the Middle East was a message to Tehran, But we must emphasize that this move by the United States will not encourage the new Iranian president to modify the negotiations on the nuclear deal.
He added that an alternative to US action in the region could be to build an air defense alliance between Israel and neighboring countries; Because it can protect the integrity of Israeli sovereignty, and this is the new reality of the region that Israel is obliged to interact with in accordance with the developments and challenges.
“We urgently need interceptor missiles in the face of missile threats on the northern and southern fronts,” he said. Of course, our deal with the Arab countries is not entirely commercial, but it means evaluating the strategic cooperation that will change the regional balance and establish deep relations between Israel and the Arab countries.
