A statement issued by the spokesperson of the Pakistan Air Force said, “The government of Pakistan has promoted four Air Officers of the Pakistan Air Force to the rank of Air Vice Marshal.” Among the promoted are Air Vice Marshal Khalid Mahmood, Air. Vice Marshal Asad Amir Pirzada, Air Vice Marshal Salman Abbas Shah and Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Irfan.
According to the spokesperson, the promoted Air Vice Marshal Khalid Mahmood was commissioned in May 1991 in the GDP branch of the Pakistan Air Force.
During his career, he commanded a fighter squadron, a flying wing and an operational base. He has been awarded Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) for outstanding services in the Pakistan Air Force.
Air Vice Marshal Asad Amir Pirzada was commissioned in the Engineering Branch of the Pakistan Air Force in May 1991 and in his career he served as Director Networks Bases at the Air Headquarters Islamabad and Commandant College of Aeronautical Engineering Asghar Khan Academy. He has been awarded Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) for outstanding services in the Pakistan Air Force.
According to the spokesperson of the Pakistan Air Force, the promoted officer, Air Vice Marshal Salman Abbas Shah, was commissioned in May 1991 in the Engineering Branch of the Pakistan Air Force.
During his career, he commanded the Engineering Wing and served as the Managing Director of the Mirage Rebuild Factory in Kamra.
Air Marshal Salman Abbas also served as Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Aircraft Engineering) at Air Headquarters Islamabad and was awarded Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) for outstanding services in the Pakistan Air Force.
Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Irfan, who was promoted in the Pakistan Air Force, was commissioned in the Engineering Branch of the Pakistan Air Force in May 1991 and in his career served as the Deputy Managing Director of JF-17 Thunder Project.
He also served as the Deputy Managing Director of Avianx Production Factory in Kamra and has been awarded Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) for outstanding services in the Pakistan Air Force.
