The All India Hurriyat Conference in Occupied Kashmir has expressed concern over the serious threat to the lives of Kashmiri prisoners in Indian jails due to the severe wave of Corona virus in India.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the spokesperson of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference in a statement issued in Srinagar strongly condemned India’s inhumane treatment of Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders and activists detained in various jails in India and the Occupied Territories.
He said that the recent detention of senior Hurriyat leader Muhammad Ashraf Sahrai in Adhampur Jail was an indication of the fact that the concerns of the Kashmiri people regarding detainees were justified.
The spokesperson also lauded the high morale of the Kashmiri people and their expression of devotion and love for the martyred leader, Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League Acting Chairman Abdul Ahad Pareh said in a statement in Srinagar. He called on international organizations to play their role in the release of Kashmiri detainees.
A spokesman for Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami said in a statement in Srinagar that the custodial assassination of Mohammad Ashraf Sahrai had once again exposed the brutal face of Modi’s Fascist government.
