Within seconds of the end of the ousting the military wing Zionist regime and settlers from Al-Aqsa Mosque and Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, as well as the release of all detainees during the recent protests in Jerusalem, Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas operated and fired missiles from the Gaza Strip into occupied Jerusalem.
Most of the world’s news agencies emphasized that after the sound of alarm sirens, explosions were also heard in Jerusalem. The sources, quoting the Israeli military, reported that the so-called “Iron Dome” system failed to intercept Qassam (resistance) missiles fired from the Gaza Strip into the Quds area, and was only able to intercept one of the seven attack missiles.
The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Battalions also stressed in a statement the support of Al-Aqsa Mosque and its staff and bodyguards, as well as the defense of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, noting that rocket attacks on the enemy in occupied Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, and these missile strikes “are a message that the enemy must understand well … and whenever you return (and sedition) we will return.”
The resistance had to respond to the events and developments that have taken place in the city of Quds since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, including the aggression of the occupying police forces and settlers in the Bab al-Amoud area and Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and around Al-Aqsa Mosque. It reached its climax and the Zionist militias attacked the grounds of this holy place, using rubber and even metal bullets and sound bombs and tear gas against the worshiping Palestinians, which, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, injured more than 305 Palestinians.
The response of the resistance confirms the fact that the conflict with the occupying regime has entered a new phase, and the resistance, which has taken the initiative, will draw that stage and impose its will on the equation of battle with the Zionist enemy. For this reason, resistance is not in a defensive position, but has moved to the offensive stage; The regime was forced to cancel the largest military maneuver in its history and close Ben-Gurion Airport, as well as to open its shelters for fear of resistance rockets.
When the Islamic Resistance sees that the Palestinian people are left alone in the face of the brutality of the occupying regime and that the Arab rulers are watching or normalizing with this enemy, then, relying on their weapons and faith and the axis of resistance.
