Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid has said that Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan has been banned, the government is abiding by its decision. Action will be taken in accordance with the constitution and law. After Eid, we will set up a committee. It will be binding.
The Home Minister said that the Prime Minister has directed that action should be taken in accordance with the Constitution and law and no surrender should be made. Sheikh Rashid further said that the party which is declared banned has 30 days to submit its reply. After that, the government has 30 days to hear the appeal.
We will set up a committee within 30 days after Eid. The government will abide by whatever the committee decides. He said that if Tehreek-e-Labaik wants to appear before the committee along with its lawyers, the Interior Ministry may allow them.
Earlier, the government had decided to set up a committee to review the ban on the banned Tehreek-e-Labaik. A consultative meeting on the banned TLP was held under the chairmanship of Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid. Taken
It should be noted that the banned Tehreek-e-Labaik has filed a petition with the government against the ban, stating that Tehreek-e-Labaik is not a terrorist organization but a political party registered with the Election Commission. The ban should be lifted. After the recent protests and sit-ins in the country, the government banned Tehreek-e-Labaik and declared it null and void.
