ISTANBUL: It was rumored during a visit to the United Arab Emirates that Pak-India talks could take place there, but Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has denied any type of talks with India through the UAE.
According to the details, in an interview to Turkish TV, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that he wanted to make it clear that no talks have taken place between Pakistan and India in recent days and neither the UAE has facilitated in this regard. ۔
The foreign minister also said that he had seen the news from him but there was no truth in it. Earlier, UAE Ambassador to Washington Yousuf Al-Atiba had claimed support for the Pak-India talks. Al-Atiba said the UAE had played a role in easing tensions between the two countries over the issue of occupied Kashmir.
The Foreign Minister said that we are not holding any peace talks at the moment and the UAE is not playing the role of facilitator in any way. Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that he has seen stories about the role of mediation but it is not. Not happening
The Foreign Minister further said that the UAE is a friendly country and has good relations with Pakistan and India, all friendly countries have always said that the two nuclear-armed countries should not take the path of war and The best way to move forward with a solution is through negotiations.
