Lavrov: Calls continue to normalize Turkish-Syrian relations.
The Russian Foreign Minister says that Moscow has offered to return to the agreements under which, if Damascus agrees, Turkish anti-terrorist forces will be allowed to enter Syria.
“Sergei Lavrov”, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, said today (Friday) that diplomatic communications are continuing to normalize relations between Turkey and Syria.
During a speech at the “Moscow State Institute of International Relations”, Lavrov explained: “Calls continue regarding the draft road map for the normalization of Turkey-Syria relations. We proposed to return to the agreements under which, if Damascus agrees, Turkish anti-terrorist forces will be allowed to enter Syria.
According to “Sputnik” the news agency, stated that the West’s path against the world’s multipolar system is full of new conflicts and explained: “The process of creating a multipolar world order may take a long time, but this process cannot be stopped.”
The head of the Russian diplomatic service stated: “We do not draw a line against the West and America, but we develop our relations with other countries on the basis of equality.” Russia will not agree to the G20 summit statement unless it reflects Russia’s position on global crises.
According to this report, while rejecting the claims of the Ukrainian authorities that Russia’s withdrawal from the grain agreement fueled the food crisis and hunger in Africa, Lavrov emphasized that Moscow has started the work of free delivery of Russian grain to 6 African countries in need.
Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that despite the expiration of the grain export agreement, Russia has taken a very responsible position regarding the supply of food to Africa. (More details)
He went on to say: “Saudi Arabia has informed Russia that it planned the meeting about Ukraine in such a way as to show everyone that any peace negotiations without the Russian Federation will be futile.”
According to Sputnik, the Russian Foreign Minister also added: “I told UN Secretary-General [Antonio Guterres] clearly that the presence of UN representatives in the meetings of the online working group on Zelensky’s peace formula is unacceptable.”
