Recently, news has been published that a WhatsApp account has been hacked through a user’s phone number. You heard right !!!
A person will suspend your account for 12 hours just by having your phone number by requesting a security code and entering the wrong code many times, without you having to do anything.
He then sends an email to WhatsApp announcing that his account has been attacked and should be disabled.
The hacker then repeats this several times and completely deactivates your account.
So WhatsApp can be hacked only with a phone number, despite using the second password or Two-factor Authentication. But at least your information will not be given to the hacker and only your account will be deactivated.
