Saudi Arabia: Sweden Must Stop Desecration of Holy Quran’
According to Al-Ghad, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal Bin Farhan called his Swedish counterpart to stop the offensive actions against the Holy Quran in this country.
In this telephone conversation, Bin Farhan announced Saudi Arabia’s strong opposition to all the actions that are taken to desecrate the Holy Quran.
The Saudi Foreign Minister also requested take the necessary measures to stop this process against the holy books and harming the feelings of the Muslims of the world.
Faisal bin Farhan added that the repetition of the burning of copies of the Holy Quran can contribute to the spread of hatred and hinder efforts to strengthen dialogue between nations and civilizations.
The foreign minister of Sweden also claimed that his country is against any attempt to desecrate the Holy Quran and condemns it.
At the same time, he regretted the actions of some people in Sweden for abusing the country’s constitution in the field of freedom of expression. Sweden’s foreign minister claimed that the country’s authorities are trying to stop offensive actions against religions and holy books.
Also, following the repetition of the Quran burning in Copenhagen, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia summoned the charge d’affaires of the Danish Embassy on Friday morning in response to the burning of a copy of the Holy Quran in this country.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, calling the violation of Islamic sanctities and spreading violence against Abrahamic religions intolerable, demanded serious measures from Copenhagen to prevent the repetition of insulting anti-Islamic actions and violation of international laws.
