Putin: Russia is ready to continue supplying its grain.
According to Sputnik news agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a speech related to the grain agreement known as the Black Sea Initiative: the continuation of the grain trade has lost its meaning.
The Russian president continued in this regard: The West used the grain agreement for political blackmail and to strengthen its companies. The West is blocking not only the grain agreement, but also the free transfer of grain and chemical fertilizers by Russia to the poorest countries. Arrogance was the reason for not complying with the terms of the grain agreement.
Vladimir Putin continued: It is Russia that contributes to global food security. Statements that Ukraine provides food to countries are false. Russia is ready to continue supplying its grain.
He further pointed out: Moscow will consider the possibility of returning to the agreement if all the principles of participation in it are considered and implemented without exception.
A few hours ago, the Ministry of Defense of Russia issued a statement regarding the completion of the grain agreement (Black Sea Initiative).
In the statement issued by the Ministry of Defense of Russia in this regard, it was stated: From 00:00 on July 20 (tomorrow Thursday) Moscow time, all ships that move to Ukrainian ports in the Black Sea, as potential carriers. Considered military cargo. The flag countries of such ships are involved in the Ukrainian conflict alongside the Kiev regime. As a result, a number of northwestern and southeastern sea areas of the international waters of the Black Sea have been declared dangerous for shipping.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia had previously announced that the United Nations should intervene to normalize the process of exporting agricultural products to this country.
The Russian Foreign Ministry announced that the United Nations has 90 days to return the process of Russian agricultural exports to normal after the suspension of the grain export agreement.
Russia recently announced that it will withdraw from the grain export agreement with Ukraine due to the failure of this country’s demands regarding the export of its agricultural products.
The grain initiative is an integral part of the agreement concluded with Russia. The memorandum of understanding between Russia and the United Nations, which was designed for 3 years, included the removal of the blockade of the export of Russian food and chemical fertilizers.
Also, based on this agreement, the reconnection of the Russian Agricultural Bank to SWIFT, the resumption of the supply of agricultural machinery, spare parts, and services, the reconstruction of the ammonia pipeline, and a number of other measures were supposed to be carried out for Russia. But as Moscow has announced, this part of the agreement has not yet been implemented.
