The Nightmare Of Zionist Generals’
During the last few months, the level of tensions between the Zionist regime and the Islamic resistance in Lebanon has increased. The threat of war on the “Northern Front” of occupied Palestine has become so strong that the regime’s intelligence services are reporting the possibility of an unprecedented conflict between Tel Aviv and Hezbollah (after the 33-day war). While Netanyahu’s right-wing government is busy preparing Zionist public opinion to start military operations against Lebanon, the political atmosphere inside the regime is in the worst possible condition due to Netanyahu’s judicial reform plan. The level of differences between Zionist parties and residents is so high that some forces even threatened to strike or withdraw from the army. In such a situation, the senior analysts of the Zionist regime demand an end to internal disputes and focus on the great northern enemy, the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement.
Why are tensions increasing on the northern front?
In the first half of 2023, six incidents caused the escalation of tensions between the Islamic resistance of Lebanon and the Zionist regime. First, the claim of the Zionist regime army on March 13th of this year was that one of the forces affiliated with Hezbollah in Lebanon penetrated seventy kilometers deep into the occupied Palestinian territory and carried out operations. The second tension point occurred on April 6, 2023. Hamas operatives in southern Lebanon organized a missile attack against the Zionist regime, which surprised the Zionist commanders. In response to this operation, Netanyahu claimed that the regime’s army targeted places related to Hezbollah and the Palestinian resistance in Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza. On the other hand, Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, rejecting the statements of the Prime Minister of the regime, described Tel Aviv’s actions as blind attacks against banana farms.
The third important incident of the “Arrow and Shield” operation of the regime army against the Islamic Jihad was on May 4, 2023. In this operation, Tel Aviv tried to divide the resistance groups and destroy the joint operation room of Hezbollah, Hamas, and Islamic Jihad. Hizbollah’s exercise in the southern borders and simulation of an attack on the occupied territories was considered the fourth point of tension between the resistance and Tel Aviv. In this exercise, Hizballah’s offensive units targeted the supposed enemy with various types of offensive drones, anti-tank missiles, and heavy rocket launchers. The fifth serious challenge between Hezbollah and the Zionists is the regime’s encroachment on the village of “Al-Ghajar” in Lebanon and the establishment of Hezbollah tents on the border. In order to deal with this challenge, in addition to mediating the United Nations peacekeeping forces based in Lebanon, Tel Aviv is looking for the dismantling of Hezbollah tents at the border points using the language of threats. On the other side, the officials warned against any miscalculations by the Zionist commanders and announced that if Tel Aviv takes military action against the Hezbollah tents, it will face a reciprocal response. The latest case of tension in the border areas of Lebanon is the dismantling of the Zionist regime’s spy cameras from the masts installed by the Zionists. In this incident, the Lebanese youth blinded the surveillance eyes of the Zionist regime in protest against the increase in the border movements of the Zionist regime and the continued occupation of the strategic village of “Al-Ghajjar”.
Increasing the cost of occupation policy
The increase in the possibility of starting a military battle in the northern borders of the occupied territories has caused American diplomats to become active in order to prevent the occurrence of war in the region. With the erosion of the war in Ukraine, Washington has decided to give offensive weapons such as cluster bombs to Kyiv; focusing mainly on changing the field equations of the Ukrainian war. The dimming of the prospect of a ceasefire and the beginning of peace talks between Russia and Ukraine has made the Democrats not interested in starting a new war in the Shamat region. The expansionist policies of Netanyahu’s extremist cabinet in the West Bank have increased the criticism of Tel Aviv and its allies in the Euro-Atlantic area by international organizations, Islamic countries, and public opinion. The increase in pressure against the Zionist regime has caused the national security team and the American Embassy in Beirut to focus all their attention on preventing conflict and saving the Zionist regime from a political-military disaster.
