Algeria requests Egypt to supply Gaza with free fuel.
Some knowledgeable Arab sources reported the Algerian president’s request to his Egyptian counterpart to grant permission to Algeria to equip Gaza with free fuel.
According to informed Arab sources, Algerian President Abdel Majid Taboun has asked his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, to allow the Algerian government to supply the Gaza Strip with free fuel.
“Rai Elyoum” newspaper quoted these sources and wrote that Tabun is now waiting for al-Sisi’s response to his proposals to prepare the ground for sending donated oil shipments to the residents of the Gaza Strip.
According to this report, Algeria has proposed to provide all the oil and fuel needs of the Gaza Strip at the expense of this country’s treasury.
Algerian sources said that the country is waiting to receive a direct response from the Egyptian government to this proposal or to state the reasons and obstacles on the way to the implementation of this proposal.
