Turkish elections and another defeat for Biden in West Asia.
The Turkish election is not the only case of the White House’s failures in the West Asian region, and a series of these failures have been going on in the last two years, which shows that this is a trend.
Turkey’s election marathon ended while Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was once again able to rely on the presidential seat of this country by obtaining 52% of the votes. Many analyzes and articles about the dimensions of this competition were published in the domestic and foreign media, but the less noticed point was the defeat of the American-backed candidate in this election.
America’s relations with Erdogan’s government have been in a downward trend after Washington’s opposition to the extradition of Fethullah Gulen after the failed July 2016 coup, as well as Turkey’s attempt to buy Russian weapons, and the F-16 case has also added to the scope of these disputes. Therefore, the Americans preferred that someone other than Erdoğan reside in the Aksara Palace, but this time the request of the American foreign policy and national security team was not fulfilled.
It is not a secret to anyone that despite his claims, Erdogan was not and will not be an anti-American person, and he approached America and the Zionist regime wherever he needed, but it was clear to the observers that the victory of Kamal Kılıçdar Oğlu in the White House is a better option.
Of course, the main point here is that the Turkish elections are not the only failure of the White House government in the Middle East, and a series of these failures have been going on in the last two years, which shows that this is a process that has now accelerated.
