London: China is the biggest challenge in the world today.
In his speech, the British Prime Minister claimed that China is the biggest challenge of the current era for the security and prosperity of the world.
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak made statements against China on Sunday.
In his words, he said, “The Group of Seven industrialized countries of the world continue to show their unity against China.”
The British Prime Minister continued: “China is the biggest challenge of the current era for the security and prosperity of the world.”
Sunak claimed that China’s domestic policy is becoming more autocratic and its foreign policy is becoming more assertive.
He continued: “England’s reactions to Beijing will be completely in line with the allies.”
After these statements, the British Prime Minister claimed that his purpose in making these comments was to de-escalate tensions and not to distance himself from China.
The final statement of the meeting of the G7 member states, most of which was devoted to the issue of China and the tensions regarding the island of Taiwan, was accompanied by a sharp reaction from Beijing.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry released a statement while accusing the G7 countries of supporting Taiwan separatism, saying that they did not mention any opposition to the separatist forces in this island in their statements.
The statement said: “The Group of 7 continues to make statements about maintaining peace in the Taiwan Strait, but does not mention its opposition to Taiwan’s independence, which basically means supporting the separatist forces of the island.”
