Martyrdom of the sixth senior commander of the operation unit of the Islamic Jihad movement in Gaza.
On Friday evening, the Zionist army assassinated a high-ranking military commander of the Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip.
“Anatolia” news agency reported on Friday evening that the Israeli army announced in a statement that in a joint operation with the public security apparatus, it assassinated the commander of the Islamic Jihad, “Iyad al-Hasani”.
The statement added that al-Hasani played a major role in the management of the war in the Gaza Strip and had assumed the position of Khalil al-Bahtini, who was killed in a military operation on Tuesday.
This statement further added that al-Hasani was an important figure in war management and made important decisions in this regard.
The Zionist Army announced that al-Hasani was in charge of the communication department with the Jihad Command and was in contact with all the organizations in the Gaza Strip.
Also, al-Hasani has been involved in all the decisions related to launching rockets and heavy rockets towards the settlements and occupied areas.
Earlier, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that 2 Palestinians were martyred and 5 others were injured following the bombing of a residential building in Al-Nasr neighborhood.
In response to al-Hasani’s martyrdom, the Islamic Jihad movement announced that it will target the depth of “Israel”.
Al-Hasani is the sixth senior Islamic Jihad commander who was martyred by Israeli forces since the beginning of the conflict in the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry of Health of Palestine announced that the number of victims of the new period of clashes between the occupiers and the Islamic Jihad movement from Wednesday morning until now is 33 martyrs, including 6 children and 3 women, and 111 people were injured.
