Why are both Biden and Trump unpopular?
Although the US presidential election will be held in early November 2024 (mid-November 1403) and there is about a year and a half left until then, election candidates from both the Democratic and Republican spectrums have been preparing for it in recent weeks.
As expected in the ruling party, the current president Joe Biden has officially announced his candidacy, and on the other hand, Donald Trump, the previous president of the Republican Party, has also stepped up to take this important seat; Two presidents, each of whom has very low popularity not only among the people but also among their own party members for several reasons.
In the latest survey by “NBC News”, the majority of the American people are against the participation of Biden or Trump in the 2024 presidential elections of this country. This survey was conducted from April 14 to 18 with the presence of 1,000 participants, and the result was that 70 percent of respondents said they did not want Biden to stay in the Oval Office of the White House for another four years. This figure was about 51% for Democratic Party voters.
Also, according to the results of this survey, 60 percent, including one third of Republicans, said that they are against Trump’s participation in next year’s presidential election.
Now the question comes to mind, why the American people and even the party members of Biden and Trump do not want to see them again in the Oval Office of the White House in the next four years?
Why not to Biden?
On Tuesday, May 5, Biden announced on his Twitter account that he will run for president in the upcoming American elections, and in this video, he asked the voters to give him more time to finish the work he promised when he started his presidency. and put aside their concerns about extending the term of the oldest American president for another 4 years.
At the same time, the polls evaluate his chances of winning again as low. In addition to the “NBC News” poll that was mentioned earlier, the recent “New York Post” newspaper poll also concluded that “the future looks bleaker for Biden.” According to this American newspaper, about two-thirds of Democratic voters (64%) want the party to choose another candidate for the 2024 presidential race (1,403).
According to the New York Post, when people were asked why they would prefer a candidate other than Biden in 2024 (1403), 33 percent cited age and 32 percent cited his job performance. 12 percent say they just prefer someone new, 10 percent believe Biden is not progressive enough, and 4 percent doubt his ability to win re-election.
