ISLAMABAD: Electricity prices have been increased significantly, Nepra has issued a notification allowing electricity consumers to charge up to Rs 14.24 paise per unit this year.
According to the notification issued by Nepra, it has been allowed to charge 13 rupees 87 paise per unit from the citizens of Karachi. While the surcharge will be collected in 8 months this year.

According to Nepra, protective customers using 200 units will be charged 89 paisa to 2 rupees per unit in 8 months, non-protective customers using up to 200 units will be charged 79 paisa to 2 rupees 75 paisa per unit. will be done.
Similarly, consumers using 300 units will also be charged 79 paisa to 2 rupees 75 paisa per unit extra, farmers will be charged 50 paisa to 3 rupees per unit extra in 8 months.
Meanwhile, a notification has been issued for electricity consumers to increase the tariff by Rs 13.87 paise per unit.
