The participation of Saudi Arabia and the UAE in the US naval exercise.
The Central Command of the US Naval Forces announced on Monday the beginning of the exercise of its forces with the participation of 50 countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt, which will continue until the middle of next month.
The US Navy’s Central Command announced in a statement that the scope of this exercise is the waters of the Persian Gulf, the Makran Sea, the Red Sea, the Gulf of Oman, the Indian Ocean, and the coastal areas of East Africa.
This exercise will be held with the presence of 7,000 troops and 35 ships, and it focuses on 5 main areas, including joint command and control, remote control systems, measures related to mine clearance, and the completion of artificial intelligence.
This exercise is supposed to continue until the middle of March with the participation of countries from the West Asian region.
This is the second major US exercise in the region within a month, and earlier this month, the US Fifth Fleet held the largest naval exercise in West Asia in Bahrain. 9 thousand troops and about 50 ships from more than 60 countries and international organizations participated in these exercises.
