The independence of Pakistan from British rule in the subcontinent was achieved as a result of visionary leadership and tireless efforts of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the thinker for Pakistan Allama Iqbal. Both of these leaders were not only engaged in the struggle for the rights of Muslims in the subcontinent for the establishment of Pakistan, On the contrary, historical facts showed that they strongly opposed Israel’s establishment in Palestine, the world’s greatest oppression, which is happening to Muslims all over the world . Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah declared during the struggle for the establishment of Pakistan that the Muslims of the subcontinent will not keep silent on the injustice being done with the people of Palestine. From the first day, the Zionist regime of Israel tried to get closer to Pakistan and establish ties with Pakistan.
Israel had attempted to make friendship with Pakistan for the first time in the lifetime of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, but Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah threw the telegram sent by Israel into the trash and had drawn a red line and said that Israel is an illegal state and Pakistan will never recognize Israel. Various political experts and analysts have written that the second such attempt came during the era of Liaquat Ali Khan when Begum Rana Liaquat Ali and some Israeli officials were seen at the same table during a dinner party in America. It should be noted that this was the longest visit of the first Prime Minister of Pakistan to America in which Liaquat Ali Khan stayed with Begum Rana Liaquat Ali for more than two months. In this visit, Liaquat Ali Khan was warmly welcomed by the then US President Truman.
Time passed and Pakistan was ruled by different rulers. During the period when the Arab-Israeli wars started in 1967 and 1973, Pakistan was a great supporter of Palestine, even the soldiers and pilots of the Pakistan Air Force flew warplanes from Syria and Jordan and fiercely attacked the Israeli air Force and caused damage. There is no doubt that Pakistan has always endorsed the cause of Palestine. In Pakistan, Yasser Arafat and other leaders of the PLO after him have been welcomed, as well as the leaders of the resistance movement Hamas. Pakistan’s seriousness and support for the Palestinian cause has worried Israel and its backers about how to make Pakistan be seated at the table of friendship with Israel. However, it is also recorded in the history of Pakistan that the infamous Mossad agency of Israel has carried out terrorist activities against the company working for Pakistan’s nuclear assets.
Over time, there has always been an effort by the US and Israel to create close relationships with elements in Pakistan who have a soft corner for Israel so that activities for Israel can be carried out in Pakistan. Pakistan’s Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto always supported the cause of Palestine and during the Arab-Israeli war during his era , he told Syrian President Hafiz al-Assad that if necessary, I will deploy the entire armored brigade. The governments that came after them also continued the policy of always supporting the Palestine issue. Political experts and analysts say that in the former governments of Mian Nawaz Sharif and Ms. Benazir Bhutto, some attempts for a relationship with Israel continued, even the case of Benazir Bhutto’s secret meeting with Israeli officials in America also came which was later rejected.
Even after the end of Mian Nawaz Sharif’s government in 1999, the military dictator General Musharraf took over the government in Pakistan and on an international visit he had a meeting with the Israeli representatives he was so much inspired by the Zionists that on his return to Pakistan he sent his Foreign Minister Khurshid Kasuri to Turkey where he met the Israeli Foreign Minister in the presence of Turkish high officials and discussed the practical strategy for relations between Pakistan and Israel. It was the first time in the history of Pakistan that a foreign minister had a direct meeting with the Israeli foreign minister at the third place and the agenda of the meeting was based on friendship between Israel and Pakistan. This incident raised a serious threat about the ideological and geographical borders of Pakistan and there was a wave of public annoyance over this policy of Pervez Musharraf across the country.
Later Pervez Musharraf had also realized that the mission to build a friendly relationship between Pakistan and Israel could not last longer and gradually this matter was left behind. The fact is that people like Pervez Musharraf and Khurshid Kasuri had provided the way to Israel. Now it was easy for Israel to arrange people for itself in Pakistan and start lobbying for Israel in Pakistan. In 2008 as a part of that plan when Pervez Musharraf’s government was ended some groups or NGOs had been formed in Pakistan having aim and goal to serve Israel. For the running of such NGOs, Noor Dahiri, the British national of Pakistani origin appeared for the first time. Noor Dahri is a resident of Hyderabad city and is a British citizen living in the UK.
For the sake of Israel , Noor Dahri started lobbying. For this purpose he targeted the innocent youth in Pakistan and started to link the acts of terrorism with Islam and similar work was done by General Musharraf. Later, when Islam was blamed for terrorism meanwhile people were told that there was nothing wrong with having ties with Israel. With this method Noor Dahri and his colleagues have not yet achieved so much success. However, Noor Dahri and others like him who are the outcome of Pervez Musharraf era are still active in defaming Islam in Pakistan and damaging the ideological boundaries of Pakistan and their center is Britain and America.
