Iraq Requests The Return Of Syria To the Arab Union.
The 34th session of the conference of the Union of Arab Parliaments in Baghdad started with the speech of “Mohammed Al-Halbusi”, the speaker of the Iraqi parliament.
According to this report, Mohammad Al-Halbusi said in his opening speech: “After a 40-year gap, we are hosting the conference of the Arab Inter-Majlis Union and we welcome the brothers in Baghdad.” This meeting is an important step towards strengthening relations between Arab countries.
Al-Halboosi further explained: The current challenges require collective action and the time has come for the Arab countries to put aside their differences in order to face these challenges.
He emphasized the firm and moral position of the Iraqi government and nation in supporting the Palestinian nation and said: We reject the attacks of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people and the disregard of human values and principles in dealing with them, and we condemn this process. We firmly believe in the right of the Palestinian people to form an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
The Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament also addressed the developments in Syria and while asking the Arab countries to help the victims of the earthquake in Syria, he added: We ask the Arab countries at all parliamentary and government levels to make the final decision to return Syria to its Arab environment so that this country can To play its Arab, regional and international role effectively.
