ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered the Chairman CDA to immediately bring two mega residential projects of international standards for the Overseas Pakistanis to improve the economic situation.
Shahbaz Sharif also established a high-level and empowered special committee headed by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar. Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has also started work as soon as he received the instructions of the Prime Minister.
Initially, it has been decided that two international standard residential projects will be brought up in Sector C-14 and Kari. Development works will be completed in record time by working on day and night basis.
The Prime Minister has also ordered the completion of two separate projects of increasing foreign exchange reserves in the country and providing high-quality residential facilities to the people of Samandar Parkistan at a fast pace.
Chairman CDA Capt Retd Nurul Amin instructed Member Planning Waseem Bajwa Kofouri not only to make feasibility on both the proposed projects but also to make workable PC One free from errors and any glitches at the very first stage.
It has been directed to make progress on an urgent basis to finalize the plans of 10,000 residential plots in Islamabad in the first phase for the immigrants within a month.
The Prime Minister directed that all the processes should not only be completed in one month, but also that the booking of plots should be offered to overseas Pakistanis in the same month. Advertising will be done, registration will be done to give residential plots to as many migrants as possible.
Shahbaz Sharif said that such a policy will be made that after ten thousand immigrants in the first phase, residential plots will also be given to those who survive, they will be included in the next phases of the project, commercial plots and shopping centers in all projects. And small market plots of other sub-sectors should also be given to overseas Pakistanis.
Seventeen thousand kanals of land have been identified in CDA sector C-fourteen adjacent Orkri. CDA has its own acquired land and a total of 10 to 11 thousand residential plots will be built on it in the first phase, in the next phase twenty thousand plots will be given to four more sectors.
The senior officer said that contracts will be awarded for development works in Sector C-14 .
