Pakistan Denies Any Relation To Supplying Weapons To Ukraine.
Mumtaz Zahra, the spokesperson of Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said today in his weekly press conference in Islamabad: “The reports about the export of Pakistan’s defense equipment to Ukraine are not accurate.”
She stated: Pakistan adheres to its position of neutrality towards military conflicts and this policy also includes the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
Zahra added: Pakistan exports its defense items to other countries only based on the final use by the destination country and ensuring that military equipment is not transferred to another place.
Despite the pressure from Washington and its allies to withdraw from its neutral position regarding the Ukraine war, in mid-October this year, Islamabad once again abstained from the proposed resolution against Russia in the United Nations, and while emphasizing the immediate cessation of hostilities between Moscow and Kiev, it announced: Supporters of the anti-Russian resolution have not accepted proposals for an immediate peaceful resolution of the conflict.
The government of Pakistan is not willing to take a position against Russia, but it has expressed its serious concern many times over the prolongation of the war in Ukraine and its heavy consequences on the region and the world.
