According to Shahab website, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Self-Governing Organizations reacted to the Zionist Parliament’s action in passing the law to revoke the citizenship of Palestinian prisoners and announced that the approval of this law will cause an explosion in the situation in Palestine.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Palestinian Authority added: The decision of the Zionist parliament regarding the so-called law of revocation of citizenship will lead the situation to a massive explosion.
With a majority of 94 votes out of 120 votes, the Israeli Parliament approved the law of stripping the citizenship of the Palestinians who carry out operations against the Zionists and evacuate their families from the areas under the control of the Palestinian Authority.
Before this, the Zionist regime had approved the draft law of 1948 revoking the citizenship or residency of Palestinian prisoners living in Jerusalem and the occupied territories.
According to this law, any prisoner who is sentenced to carry out anti-Zionist operations and imprisonment and proves to the interior minister that he has received money from self-governing organizations will be considered as having renounced his citizenship or residence.
Also, according to this law, the citizenship or residency of all prisoners who receive salaries or facilities from self-governing organizations will be revoked.
In the text of this law, it is stated that “Itamar Ben Gower”, the Palestinian of internal affairs of the Zionist regime, must approve the revocation of citizenship or residence of this group of prisoners within 14 days, and the minister of justice must also agree to it within seven days, and after that The court has 30 days to pass the sentence.
