Is Israel headed to civil war?
Civil war and “the end of democracy” are the two most frequent phrases of cyberspace, analysts and even leaders of the Zionist regime these days. Just less than a month after the formation of Netanyahu’s cabinet and his return to power after 5 consecutive elections in 4 years, the keyword “civil war or fratricide – חרפה אחים” has also trended in the real and virtual media space of Israel. But what is the story?
Is the Supreme Court a victim of Netanyahu?
The story of recent events is that Netanyahu seeks to change the powers and laws of the Supreme Court of the Zionist regime as a pillar of the judiciary in order to get rid of corruption cases and future challenges. He wants to give powers from this institution to the Minister of Justice in order to get rid of some challenges of recent years while increasing the power of the government.
This move by Netanyahu, along with his crowded cabinet, led to the beginning of a series of demonstrations of more than 100,000 people in the occupied territories to prevent what the opponents call a “legal coup”. But is this the first legal controversy and concern about the threat of what the Zionists claim to be the “democratic structure” of the Zionist regime?
The claim of “democracy” in a land without a constitution!
The main reason and component of the non-democratic political structure of the Zionist regime is the lack of a constitution. The fake political rule of the Zionist regime is structurally one of the strangest political systems. Its main characteristic is not having a codified constitution. After the announcement of the formation of the Zionist regime in 1948, there were wide differences of opinion within the occupied territories regarding the approval of the constitution of this regime. The main reason for this issue was the lack of integrity in the understanding of immigrant Jews and Zionist leaders about the goals of occupying the Palestinian land and creating “Israel”; But the arguments of the opponents of creating a constitution can be divided into two categories.
One group, such as the extreme party of Agudat Yisrael, believed that the Jewish Sharia is the permanent constitution of “Israel” and the other group believed that the constitution creates an obstacle against their political movement and future occupation plans. For example, we can refer to Ben-Gurion’s famous statement, which believed: “A constitution should not be enacted before the rest of the world’s Jews emigrate and before the final status of Israel is determined.”
Also, the passing of the Jewish Nation-State Law in 2018 was a victory for the right-wing spectrum of Tel Aviv to legally realize their slogan: “Judaism takes precedence over democracy.” This law was extremely racist and anti-democratic.
