Qatar donates 10,000 mobile homes to earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria.
According to Sputnik, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar announced in a statement that the country will send 10,000 mobile homes to the residents of the earthquake-affected areas in Turkey and Syria.
Dr. Majid bin Mohammad Ansari, adviser to the Prime Minister and spokesman for the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, said in this connection: 10,000 mobile homes will be gradually sent to the affected areas as soon as possible to reduce the pain and suffering of the earthquake victims.
The Qatari official further added: Mobile homes will be sent to the earthquake-affected areas of Turkey and Syria along with various contributions from the Qatari civil society led by the Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) and Qatar Charity (QC).
Majid bin Mohammad Ansari also said: Qatar’s relief team has immediately started its work through its offices in Turkey.
Yesterday, Turkish Interior Minister Suleiman Soylu announced that the Turkish government is on standby with all its facilities.
The Minister of Interior of Turkey continued in this regard: Our priority at the current stage is search and rescue operations. The earthquake that shook Turkey is the biggest disaster that we have faced in our history. Only in Kohraman Marash, 941 buildings collapsed and many buildings were badly damaged.
On Monday, a 7.8-magnitude earthquake, followed by several strong aftershocks, shook parts of Turkey and Syria, overturning thousands of homes.
Also, this earthquake was registered in the countries of Palestine, Iraq, Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and parts of Ukraine and Europe including Greece, Bulgaria.
