Iran’s Islamic Revolution proved that it is possible to nail America’s ear to the board.
Before the Islamic Revolution, Iran was an important base for America in the Persian Gulf region; The region where the most important territorial wealth and the most active economies of the world are concentrated and its control brings great achievements for the Americans. The American regime was the arm of the United States in this region and was a tool for threats and repression by which it determined the role of the countries in the region and was an opening through which the consent and approval of the United States could be obtained.
At that stage, the Soviet Union dreamed of breaking the American hegemony and changing Iran’s rule in its favor, but it did not have the ability and capability to engage in such a confrontation, nor was it in its interest to completely change the face of the regime in Tehran. In these conditions and under the influence of the collapse of most of the revolutions that occurred in the 20th century due to the wave of capitalism, the “Spirit of God” revolution was launched from Iran with the slogan “Neither East nor West”, which is based on the traditional model that the world has experienced since the beginning of the 20th century. It was not obeying.
In other words, this revolution did not carry the ideas of communism and socialism to keep itself alive, nor was it compatible with the growing wave of capitalism, but it introduced a new model that carries the original ideas of pure Muhammadan Islam; The idea that the world thought has declined and there is no way to revive it. The Islamic revolution emerged within the framework of political logic that the region was not familiar with; Because the countries of the region are used to submission and surrender and have fully believed in the hegemonic power of America and the futility of confronting it.
